correction

On January 31st 2006, in a post entitled drink up and think of england, The Voice Of The Munkey credited Lady Lilikens with a nasty revelation relating to Cooper's Beer. It has been brought to our attention that the aforementioned revelation was made, in fact, by The Mistress - information discovered during the adventures of her self-proclaimed farcical love life. Sincerest apologies from everyone here at The Voice Of The Munkey (well, you know, me) for any offense caused. We love you, Mistress!

~~~~~~~
For the record, the revelation was that Coopers Brewery, despite being favoured widely by lefty students and vegans, is a contributor to the Liberal Party - the only major brewery to [edit:] exclusively sponsor the Liberals. So next time you're sipping down a Coopers, remember: you are really just sucking John Howard's cock.
EDIT: I must concede that this may in fact, not be true at all. But it's fun to see people squirm when you tell them.
Maybe it's my search skillz, but on the AEC listings of party contributions, I can only find Cooper's as donating $1500 to the SA Liberal Party.
Compared to what, say, Macquarie Bank give (considerably more than half a mill, depending on how you count it), that wouldn't really make them a "major contributor". And certainly not the only major breweries to do so also - Lion Nathan's given a fair whack to both parties in the past.
Is there some info I'm missing?
Am I taking myself too seriously?
Okay okay, so I haven't in anyway checked the facts here. Perhaps this was merely a load of crap spouted by The Mistress's date (known affectionately as "Boring Labor Guy"), as an (unsuccessful) attempt to get her into bed.
And you're right that other breweries contribute to both parties, but supposedly Cooper's is the only one that contributes solely to the Liberals. Again, this is all heresay and... oh God... this was a throwaway post! Don't scrutinise it too closely!
Sorry. The Mistress's date sounds like a tool. It is just that he did not receive sex for his feeble efforts at seduction.
